Summary
Ben Calhoun's research focuses on low-power VLSI design. Specifically, he is interested in ultra-low energy circuits operating in the sub-threshold region (with VDD less than VT). He also researches the impact of process scaling on memory circuits and architectures.

Background:
Benton H. Calhoun received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, in 2000. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, MA, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. Dr. Calhoun joined the faculty at the University of Virginia in 2006.
