It defines Belgium, much as Belgium defines beer. Belgians certainly know how to have a good time. I enjoyed amber ales like kwak beer served in a round bottomed glass, blond ales like Duvel in a tulip glass, or Hoegaarden wheat beer in its traditional hexagonal glass, each a sensational combination of taste and its supporting branded glassware. Quaffing beer is a sensual delight in Belgium. After all, time is never wasted when you're wasted all the time.
