Seen from above, the tulip fields of Noordwijkhout present a breathtaking spectacle. Part of the Dune and Bulb (Duin-en-Bollenstreek) region of Netherlands along the west coast, our visit in 2022 coincided with the re-opening of the tulip fields after two years of pandemic related closure. Tourism was still sparse when we visited, offering a once in a while respite from the madding crowds.
