The 30 km long Bosphorus strait connects the Black Sea to the north of Turkey with the interior Sea of Marmara, separating mainland Asia from Europe, and straddled by the city of Istanbul. A cruise along its waters zigzags between the Rumelian (European) and Anatolyan (Asian) sides of Turkey, and provides imposing views of the Golden Horn, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Aya Sofia, the Yeni (new) mosque, Suleymaniye mosque, Bosphorus bridge and the Rumelihisari fortress.
