Komodo Park - Pink Beach and Manta Point
As we cruise along the waters of Komodo National Park, a spit of pink crescent land emerges like a dream from the turquoise waters full of marine life. This bit of land, Takamakassar, is shorter than a soccer field and narrower than a soccer goalpost.

Video: A vision from heaven - a small strip of crescent shaped island in the middle of the ocean. This is Takamakassar, no longer than a football field, thinner than a dining room.
A sight for sore eyes - one of few pink beaches in the world.
The pink arises from ground coral that mixes with the sand. Around the pink beach is fabulous snorkeling, rich in marine life.
In particular, watching giant Manta rays gracefully swirl along its depths makes for quite an adrenaline rush.
