This tree is oddly symbolic of Korea, which has received a massive intravenous infusion of resources since the massive damage during the Korean War half a century ago. In the face of strenuous relations with the North, it still continues to grow impressively. The spirit of Korea lies in its creativity, its culture, its cuisine, and in the cute smiles of its people.
