Corazon de Mundo Maya - Tikal

Flores airport is our first stop after Guatemala City.

Flores is set on the banks of the Lake Petén Itzá - offering some divine sunsets.

Early morning foggy sunrise in Tikal, punctuated by the roars of the howler monkey as the forest wakes up.

One of the defining moments in Tikal is when the jungle wakes up at dawn. The loud snoring sounds you hear are the roars of the howler monkeys.

A ceiba, the sacred tree of the Mayans. A howler monkey - with a loud raucous snore-like roar.

Spider monkeys - they are constantly watching!
