Installing HDL Designer Series
------------------------------
1. Run "HDS_2018.2_win.exe".  This will self-extract and launch the HDL Designer Series
   install program (MIP). This will take about 2 minutes.
   
   Note1: MIP may fail for "No space left on device" if system drive (c:/) is full thus please free up some
   disk space and try again.
   OR
	./HDS_2018.2_win.exe -msiloc  <user_specified_target_directory>/mgc
	this will install MIP to <user_specified_target_directory>/mgc rather than c:/mentorgraphics

   
2. Choose "Next" for the Welcome Wizard.

3. Review the License Agreement (should agree to progress).

4. Browse to the desired install target location.

5. Choose one or more of the available products.

6. Follow the steps in the install program.

7. Exit MIP.
			

Licensing HDL Designer Series Products
--------------------------------------
If you are running HDL Designer Series products standalone, add a valid license 
feature to the following file:

        $HDS_HOME/license/license.dat, or 
        <install_dir>/license/license.dat

Use the following table to determine which license features are required
for your Product(s):

Invoking HDL Designer
----------------------
If the HDL Designer option was selected during installation, the default 
location for invoking HDL Designer is:

Start> Programs> HDL Designer Series 2018.2> HDL Designer


Invoking SystemVerilog-VHDL Assistant 
----------------------
If the HDL Designer option was selected during installation, the default 
location for invoking SystemVerilog-VHDL Assistant is:

Start> Programs> HDL Designer Series 2018.2> SystemVerilog-VHDL Assistant


Viewing the HDL Designer Series Bookcase
----------------------------------------
If the installation is done using default location, you will be
able to view the HDL Designer Series Bookcase using the following 
menu item:

Start> Programs> HDL Designer Series 2018.2> Manuals

User Documentation
===================
HDL Designer Series user manuals are available in PDF & HTML formats and will require
Adobe Acrobat Reader & Internet Explorer. 
Note: If you do not have Acrobat installed on your system, it can be downloaded from http://www.adobe.com/reader


Note on User Documentation
==========================
It was not required to update all of the user documentation for this release
therefore, the release number may not be the same on all documentation.
